Hatchability as Related to Seasons and Hour of Laying

چکیده
P in hatchability have been studied by a large number of workers including Pearl, Dunn, Hutt, Jull, Warren, Waters, Byerly and Dove as well as many others, reported in Jull's Poultry Breeding, 1932. Under uniform conditions of incubation, the greater proportion of evidence indicates that the genetic makeup of the female and of her mate largely determine the percentage of fertile eggs that will hatch. Malposition and a few lethal genes are known to increase embryonic mortality. Byerly, Knox and Jull (1934) express the opinion that the inheritance of hatchability must be determined by a very large number of genes. Recently Dove (1935) and Waters (193S) have demonstrated that the lethal effects of malposition have probably been exaggerated. Both of these workers have shown that normal chicks assume these socalled abnormal positions as a phase of normal development between the eighteenth day and the hatching day. In view of this fact both workers conclude that many dead chicks that are found abnormally oriented in the egg have died at a particular stage in

Effect of thyme, garlic and caraway herbal extracts on blood parameters, productivity, egg quality, hatchability and intestinal bacterial population of laying Japanese quail
Background: In the current Iranian poultry industry, antibiotics are the most frequently used additive in poultry feeds to increase productivity. The negative effects on human health, resulting from the consumption of chicken whose feeds contain antibiotics, makes finding an appropriate alternative of great importance. As a result of their nature, herbal extracts could be specifically considere...

According to various reports of beneficial effects of medicinal plants on the performance of broiler chickens and less extensively studies in laying poultries, this study was conducted to find an appropriate and harmless feed additive to enhance the quality and quantity of poultry eggs. The effect of three herbal extracts on quantity and quality of eggs, blood parameters, hatchability, intestin...

The experiment was carried out in poultry experimental station belonging to NRC, Cairo, Egypt. A total of 120 Fayoumi layers, 45 weeks old, were randomly divided into four equal groups. Each group included three replicates (10 hens in each). The first group was fed the control diet containing 3.3% gram Ca, whereas, the other three received diets containing 2.8, 2.6 and 2.4% gram Ca, respectivel...
متن کاملEffect of nanosilver particles on hatchability of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) egg and survival of the produced larvae
Effect of nanosilver particles was studied on the hatchability of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) egg and survival of the produced larvae at about 12ºC. In the first experiment the water-based nanosilver particles was used at concentrations of 0.5, 1, 2 and 4 mgL-1 for 30 minutes per day starting 24 hour post egg incubation until the hatching time. The mean percentage of hatchability reach...
متن کاملاثر وزن و مدت زمان نگهداری بر pH آلبومین و قدرت جوجه درآوری تخم مرغهای قابل جوجه کشی
This study aims to determine the effects of storage period and egg weight on albumen pH and hatchability of hatching eggs. For this purpose, the eggs produced by native breeder hens (28 - 31 weeks of age) were used in a completely randomized design with a 3 × 8 factorial arrangement. The main factors were 3 egg weight ranges (46 - 49, 50 - 52 and 53 - 56) and 8 storage periods (1, 3, 6, 9, 12, ...
